چکیده

Sandy soils with high alkalinity are characterized by low copper (Cu) contents that lead to many deficiency symptoms in plants. Cu plants can be corrected using several cheap sources. Nevertheless, the effects novel sources, such as nanoparticles (NPs), have on remain poorly studied. In present work, we investigated effect and efficiency of supplementation onion (Allium cepa L.) sulfate, chelate, or NPs, compared their bulb quality, yield, phytochemicals. Two successive seasons (2018/2019 2019/2020) field experiments were conducted newly reclaimed sandy soils, where sprayed either 10 ppm CuO 20 CuSO4·5H2O, chelates. Overall, (control) resulted a significant decrease yield all quality traits NPs treatment significantly enhanced growth parameters, including plant height, number leaves, fresh dry weight, sulfate This was also case regarding chemical constituents macro- micro-nutrients, total soluble solids, phytochemical compounds, vitamins, amino acids. Although is cheapest form used for supplementation, results study suggest not only safe use, but led highest quality.

Risk Evaluation of Industrial Wastewater on Plants Using Onion (allium Cepa L.) Chromosome Aberration Assay

Rapid strides in industrialization coupled with incomplete sewage treatment system have led to indiscriminate discharge of potentially mutagenic wastewater into agricultural lands and water bodies. The response of Onion plant genetic material to the presence of potential cytotoxic and genotoxic substances in the environment was used to evaluate the toxicity of chemical effluent collected from a...

Effect of sulphur application in onion (Allium cepa L.)

An experiment was conducted to study the effect of sulphur application on growth, yield and quality of onion at Horticulture Farm of Institute of Agriculture, Visva-Bharati, Sriniketan. The treatments consisted of six incremental doses of sulphur application (10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 kg ha-1) and no sulphur application (control, 0 kg S ha-1). Treatments were arranged in Randomized Block Design...

NUTRIENT DIAGNOSIS ( CND ) OF ONION ( Allium cepa L . )

Nutritional constraints often restrict yields of crops in farmers’ fields. Plant nutrient status is currently diagnosed using empirically derived nutrient norms from arbitrarily defined high and low yielding subpopulations above a quantitative yield target. Generic models can assist Compositional Nutrient Diagnosis (CND) in providing a yield cutoff value between high-and lowyielding subpopulati...
